On more than one occasion, I have been asked about my opinion of the Bang Theory. With confidence, I answer with this question with the first verse of the Bible. That is, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Then BANG!, it happened. Many scientists agree that the universe could not have happened by chance. It must have happened by Creation. That is, by design. Their question then becomes, “who is the creator?” With all the evidence that supports the Holy Bible, it amazes me how people can just write the Bible off as some fable or fairy tale. In my work-book, “In the Beginning,” I site three main reasons on the inspirational authenticity of the Word of God; Archaeologically, Prophetically, and its Transformationally. Archaeological finds easily validate the Bible such as the discovery of the tomb of Caiphas found in 1984, the ancient city of Babylon, Dead Seas Scrolls found in 1848, and many human artifacts discovered that are all less than 6000 years old, which coincides with the Bible dating the 7-day earth renovation as stated in Genesis. Prophetically, every prediction made from the Bible has become true. Daniel 2 specifically traced what nations would rule the earth until the coming of Jesus. And as he predicted, history confirms, the four nations were Babylon, Mede-Persia, Greece, and Rome. The next event is the rapture of the Church (Believers). Will you be one of the raptured with the Church? Or will you be, “left behind”? Transformationally, the Bible itself declares over 3,000 times that it is inspired by God. The biggest proof of this is in the way that the Bible has changed lives; alcoholics have become missionaries, prisoners have become preachers, the physically abusive to loving, etc. One challenge, or question that I constantly get from inmates and those seeking the Lord is, “How do I know if I am saved?” That is, they are saying, “I have said the sinners prayer, how do I know that my name is in the Book of Life?” Some preachers would answer, if you have confessed your sins, acknowledged Jesus died for your sins, and you have asked Jesus to be your Lord as stated in the Bible, “you are saved.” My answer is a little simpler. After doing the above, can you look back and see a change in your life? That is, if you are still doing the same things, hanging around the same people, have the same goals and desires, then you should question your salvation. Because when Jesus becomes your Lord and Savior, your priorities change which does effect what you do and who you do it with, in that you do become a new creature, old thing are passed away, as stated in II Cor. 5:17. That is, “all things become new.” So my friend, I ask you today, do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Will I see you in heaven? If you want to be one of the chosen, follow these steps… • Ask God to forgive you • Express you need for Him to be in your life, • Acknowledge Him as The Creator God who died for your sins • Ask Him to be your Lord If you are sincere, your life will change. It may be a slow transitional change or a fast change, but nonetheless, you will become a new creature and your priorities will change. Take a look at the Romans Road Page which explains scripturally, the path to salvation. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions about your salvation. I may not have the answer, but I know The One who does. May God be with you and direct you in His Will. AMEN |
